You can also get internet and DirectTV bundled with local phone service through Qwest.

For television, you have the cable company (Cox) and the satellite companies, DirectTV and Dish. For internet, you have a lot of choices, many of which you can get anywhere in the country. If you want to bundle it with landline phone and TV, then you use Cox or Qwest.

Dish here sucks when it rains, and we do get wet quite a bit normally.....how's dish service there? is the channel line up better? reception? would be more expensive to have cable internet separately WITH dish for TV? I'm not getting dish for the net because my biz depends on it, so I can't afford down times.... I am still dreaming of the day when I'LL be the one picking the channels I want to watch! (and pay for)...

With just some of the money you WON'T be spending for propane, you should be able to find an option that works for you. Everybody's needs and priorities with these kinds of services are different.

If you're considering getting a bundle, be aware that Qwest was sold today to CenturyTel of Louisiana. No telling yet what that will mean re: service in Arizona, but keep the info in mind. It's possible it might mean new-customer incentives or, on the other hand, mass confusion.

I live in NW Tucson where we were restricted to Comcast cable. I had that and a Qwest DSL line the first three years we were here. We had terrible reception from Comcast -- the TV picture was constantly breaking up into pixels and/or the screen would just go blank. So we switched to DirecTV and I've been very happy. Our viewing is much improved AND our bill is significantly cheaper than we were paying to Comcast -- although there have been annoying billing problems from DirecTV related to incentives I was entitled to.

Note that I said I'm in Tucson, not Phoenix. But we have very high winds here (and not just in monsoon season) and it hasn't interfered with my satellite dish as I had feared.

I have cox. In my old home it was great, I moved and in this area it sucks, I'm always rebooting and having to call the company. It really depends on your location but they have been easy for me to deal with customer service wise if that helps.
I just heard of a thing called Tivo Premier, it sounds awesome. Check it out! I might switch. Just google Tivo.
