This is where all the threads started on this subject will go, as pretty much the same people have responded the same thing to all of them and there will be more to add to the lineup.

Does Zack de la Rocha perform with Rage these days? They wouldn't be worth all that much without him.

I'd watch Tom Morello do just about anything. And I thought ZdlR was back?

Anyways like any of these bands or not...they bring nickels and dimes with them into our economy. Argue the law all you want, but I think, with the state of the state, is was poor timing to do things that would call upon a boycott.

And why the heck not cut off power to LA then? Might as well. Let's just go cowboy then.

A majority can be 99% or 51%. Therefore, merely stating a majority supports something says nothing without more detailed information. A NY Times poll showed a slight majority (52%) supported the bill while 39% was opposed to it and 9% was undecided. I don't think approximately 40% of the population opposing a bill is something to take lightly. Time will tell what matters most. It remains to be seen how this boycott financially impacts Arizona. If the damage is significant, I don't think this bill is worth it. I'm not opposed to 1070 nor do I think it racially profiles or will lead to abuse. I am, however, a realist. If the costs of the bill outweigh the benefits then I am opposed to this bill. As of now, I don't see how the benefits of this one law outweighs the costs associated with boycotts. I fail to see how this bill is going to impact crime or cause enough illegals to self-deport to compensate for the financial losses caused by the boycott. And I'm not so sure law enforcement wasn't already acting in line with what the bill states regardless if it was legal. If that is the case, then little will change.

Kanye played in Tuscon and Phoenix in the 2008 Glow in the Dark Tour. I remember a huge Kanye billboard on I-17 for his show that year. Kanye West expands 'Glow in the Dark' trek >> Tour dates at LIVE DAILY Glow in the Dark Tour - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The costs of illegal immigration is in the billions (for AZ alone)- so, even an extremely small percent reduction of that is more than enough to offset these costs of these 'boycotts' that have cropped up.
According to Rasmussen, 68% are opposed to cities and states boycotting AZ over this bill. Further, 55% of voters nationwide are in favor of their own states passing similar legislation.

a comment from one washed up 80's band means nothing. Lilith Fair has quite a few bands and artists who they use and the Go Go's have very little to no influence. Sort of like Air Supply or Rick Springfield boycotting Arizona.

The Lilith Fair event is cancelled in Arizona meaning all of the bands in the act not just the Go Go's. Apparently, they had more influence that you thought.

I'm not so sure of that. Although we will have illegals leave the state, we will still have illegals entering the state. The law does nothing to catch more illegals, it has more to do with prosecuting illegals that are already caught or arrested. The only measures that lead to decreased levels of illegals are increased levels of law enforcement and fencing which this bill has no impact on. And if these boycotts become more extensive and include other industries, it could be catastrophic to a state that leans so heavily upon tourism. I haven't read anything in this bill that leads me to believe this bill will have a direct impact on immigration other than the fear it has spread to coerce some illegals to leave on their own; that is the only positive effect I've seen from it thus far.

That is kind of the idea.

Increase the hassle factor of illegally living in our state and country so that fewer people choose to do so.

Boycotting Phoenix in the summer. It is kind of like my ongoing winter boycott of the upper midwest.
