Derek, if the first image in your entry doesn't win, it'll be a travesty.
Thanks Fuzz, that's a great compliment coming from you, especlially since you live in CO. One of the reasons I like this particular lake so much is that it reminds me of CO with the Aspens surrounding the lake. Fall was my favorite time of the year while living there.
I really like your entries also, especially the one Lake Dillon under starlight. That is defiantely a sweet shot and would have been great for last month's theme as well.

Thanks, but meh. The composition could have been better. The statue is cut off too high. I should have moved back and gotten maybe a bit lower on the ground as well to get more of the statue into the frame but still keep the as much of the sky as possible. But my fingers were pretty much numb by then (2 hours in 30F without proper gloves (forgot them at home)) and it was getting light really quickly, so I didn't have much time to recompose.

Yep, I remember those cool temp shootin' all too well. Good gloves are absolutely an essential. And finding gloves which are both warm and good for shooting in sub freezing temps is tricky to say the least. Most guys used covertable mits with thinner gloves underneath for shooting dexterity.
It was tough voting on this one. There were a few really good ones!! They all made me want to come visit your state.
