With the season soon to be changing and all the myriad of colours...not to mention the temperature turning brisk in the eve...how about Fire?
This could mean the fire-like colours the leaves turn, a campfire, a fireplace...or (and most unfortunate) the wildfires still burning. Fire in the sky with a glorious Autumnal sunset/sunrise.

One can be quite creative with campfires....I shot this a few years back:

It could have anything to do with the element of fire...colour, industrial, name, etc.

Will that suit? If no, let me know and I'll think of something else.

Congrats, HighlandLady. Your cup runneth over.

Fire, open to interpretation, sounds good.

I've heard no complaints...My choice for contest in September is Fire. And as bjh stated far more eloquently than I - it is open to interpretation!

Fireplace? Or candle flame? Fiery sunset? That is why I left open to interpretation, lasses.

Seriously though...Bonnie, my heart goes out to all that have been affected by the rains and flooding. And I know that it may be too warm for a fire in the fireplace, but on those damp and chilly days, it just sounds good.

I've had questions asked regarding the colours in that fire image...the coloured flames are very easy to obtain:

If you've a leaky garden hose that you are going to throw away, or even if you have a new hose, cut it to foot long increments. Get some copper pipe cut the same length that will fit inside the garden hose segment. Toss it into the campfire. Depending on the hose...all manner of colours will appear. When the ashes cool, just grab the copper piping and find more hose. And it is not toxic.
