Well, let's see. At least here in the Northern hemisphere, we're in full harvest mode, with all the summer's bounty being gathered in and put up for the cold season, and that does suggest a possibility.
What would you all think of "Edible" as a theme for this month? Subject to interpretation, of course.
I'm thinking that could lead in lots of different directions:
An apple tree, laden with fruit
A field being harvested
A cider press, brewery or winery
A Farmers' Market stand overflowing with produce
A bakery or deli display case
A pie in the making, or cookies being cut out
A beautifully composed plate of food, a perfect pie, or an ice cream sundae heaped with whipped cream
Or something completely different!
What do the experts here think? Would "Edible" be both different enough and challenging enough to be fun?

Pretty imaginative ideas... "Edible" and your descriptions sounds good to me.
