Same here, well almost, leaves were done here a few weeks ago....nothing but gray skies, and clouds now...
Ahhhh .... you might be in Canada? I can't tell but I'm sure you can shoot photographs of the bald forest with clouds in background to show us what November is like in your home state.
I"m beginning to feel like maybe I should change the title to
"NOVEMBER IN YOUR HOME STATE" instead of "Autumn"
For me- Autumn ended yesterday! This crazy breezy day, and the trees are pretty much bare by now!!! Autumn theme would be ok if you could say photos taken after Oct 15 or Oct 1 or the Autumnal Equinox... something like that. Whatever you decide, I'll give it my best shot! The fun's in the participating, after all!
Fall has just about ended here in Buffalo as well. Almost all of the trees in my park are gone and it's been predicted for snow in the coming week. There were some great pictures in the fall foliage thread though.
Our peak color was early this past week, mostly Monday and Tuesday. It was spectacular this year, but I was only able to capture a few at the time. I went out today and did the best I could do under the circumstances. At least we still have a few trees with color left, although not nearly as vivid now.
It's winter here. It snowed all night and it blew away with the 20mph winds this afternoon.
I was going to post that it was better there, than here... but then remembered it has been snowing all day here as well . Nothing sticking too much right now, but it will soon enough.
Fall has been done here as well, but no biggie. I was thinking that November around here can be stunning in it's own right at times. A good blow on Lake Michigan can be impressive with spray over the top of the local 55' lighthouse, Bare trees against a fiery sunset, Fishing boats out for Steelhead in the morning light, all kinds of things that represents our November time while the majority of the Country is looking at changing trees and falling leaves. Still Autumn officially, so while they may not be typical photos people think of, they still fall into the season for some of us.
For our true Southern members, the only difference is the name of the official season. I would love to see what our Autumn time brings all of you down there.
