I'm using energizer NiMH and an Optex charger I had from a previous camera...Don't forget to set your camera for the battery type you're using.
what i like about the eneloops is unlike regular rechargebles a charged enelop may loose 5% of its power in a year unlike 1% a day in conventional rechargables.

Actually the new NiMH batteries hold their charge for up to a year now and can be charged up to 1000 times.
I use AA Energizer batteries. They last quite a long time. I use the Maha C401FS charger which works great. It has a car charger attachment too. It can also recharge AAA batteries as well. It fits a maximum of 4 AA or 4 AAA at a time. One key thing with this charger, if you only need to charge 1, 2, or 3 batteries, you can do it. You don't need to fill up all 4 to charge just one battery. It outputs about 300 mAH. When the battery is fully charged, it goes to a trickle charge so as not to over charge the battery.
I use a Ray-O-Vac 1hr charger, though not for my camera, it has its own special battery. The charger will charge NiMH, NiCad, AA, AAA, & 9 volt. Ray-O-Vac & Energizer have served me well, but the Duracell Hybrids I bought once were absolute crap.

only certain models of nimh are low discharge, many are not and of course are alot cheaper. im a rayovac distributor and i prefer the fuji eneloops to most of the ones i tested ,with the duracell up there as well. . my tests were not really controlled so its more my opinion. i did have an eneloop charger fail on me though.
heres a list of what is
