What a sky, Steve-O! I rarely saw sunset skies like that when I lived in Chicago. Do you live farther away from the city where the air is perhaps a little purer or something?

I traveled to the Nanaimo hospital today to see my grand daughter. She was in a horrible car accident almost two years ago she broke literally every bone in her face, plus her arm and shoulder.. She was very lucky to survive. Yesterday she had to have both her upper and lower law re-broken in order to repair more of the damage....It was her 7th surgery...Poor little thing. All that's left now is to have titanium pegs implanted in her jaws in order to replace the teeth lost in the accident....I know this has nothing to do with photography and hope you don't mind me sharing her story.
Anyway on the way home the sky was nothing short of spectacular.

I may have posted this one before, but probably a low resolution thumbnail. I took this across from me at the dairy looking towards the beach on December 7, 2006. The very next day we were hit by a storm with winds clocked in some places between 84 and 104 mph. The storm came and went, the weather was nice and mild after that; Thankfully, we were without power for five days, trees were down everyplace. We have a generator fortunately.
