Clearer shot of Mr. (polite) gator...it may not look it in the picture, but he was a pretty decent size and kept his eye on us for awhile...

Saw this good looking thing while walking along a path in Eastern Kansas. I did a bit of research and I believe it was an Eastern Yellowbelly Racer. Fortunately here, it wasn't racing. Instead, it insisted on getting some sun. Lucky for me though, it allowed me to get some pictures.
