You have no idea how much I appreciate a comment like that from you, Steve-o. Your shots in this Photography forum have left me in awe. I'm humbled. I love the critques to make me a better 'shot' but a compliment feels good too!

OK, here's one I've been playing with and wanted to get some HONEST feedback.
As you know, I've only been even attempting to take my camera out auto mode for just a few months. As such, I was down on the water and took this picture that is terribly dark.....
So I started playing with Photoshop Elements just to see what came out. I set my 'White Point' on the rope behind the duck, so I knew it would be an extreme result. Then I selected the duck and played a little with him, did some cropping, and some decorative stuff and came up with what's below.
So, my question is, when is too much Photoshop, well, too much?
Thoughts and critiques?
