Kneeling, and a little higher than the seals. That was taken with a 400mm telephoto so there some landscape compression going on there. You wouldn't want to get too close to these guys as they could do some serious damage if they wanted.

She raised him from about 5 months of age. You would not want to so much as say a cross word to her with him around. He thinks of her a Mama BTW I'm using a 24-70 about 10 feet away. Outside a fence he could crush if he really wanted too.

I took this with a wide angle 17-40. No I was not drinking. Just lost in a new world of digital.
