what a huge surprise for us when someone told us to check out the nyc public library on 41st and 5th ave.
what we saw was beyond belief. the building is like a museum. the structure is incredible. the reading rooms are 300 ft long with 50ft high ceilings. art work,statues and a cloisters like look fill the building
no flash or tripod is allowed so we used the nikon 35mm f1.8 and 50mm f1.4 coupled with anything we could rest the camera on.
some are high iso and some actually hdr as the low light levels ,dark corridors and streaming light through the windows was as tough as shooting at the cloisters in nyc. the cloisters are my idea of photography hell.
