I am in the process of getting an HD video recorder to start recording some wildlife hunts. I am learning and educating myself as fast as possible as this is quite an investment for me. This will be for my own personal use and my limit is $1000 costs.

Is this Panasonic a good buy at $800 for a beginning HD prosumer recorder?

Any opinion or suggestions are appreciated.
