Jpg/gif (photos, photographs, saving, quality)

I was trying to upload a 7S0x550V GIF file in an album, and city-data states "your file 917.okb bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 683.6 kb for this filetype."

I am a newbie at this, so please what do I do now?

I could not even find "Frequently Asked Questions." or" Adminitstrator"

Where does one look for these things? Thank you,

GIF files are not the best choice for photos - the format was created for graphic files, and not really suited to most photographs.

Try saving it as a JPG instead - and if it's still too large of a file to upload, then try again at a lower quality level. If it's still too large of a file, then make it physically smaller - as in fewer pixels - and save again. Eventually you'll hit upon the right combination of pixel size and quality, to get a file that is small enough to upload.
