Videographers will choose the Canon. There are some videos floating around that compare the video performance of the two cams, especially at high ISO, there's no comparison.

Evidently you're not aware that Canon announced totally new radio-controlled flash system that reviewers are saying beats Nikon's flash system, hands-down. Speedlite 600EX-RT and ST-E3-RT – Canon’s New Radio Flash Duo (this is HUGE news!) | Speedlights.net

Oh well. I really think THIS round goes squarely to Canon
On that we agree.

Canon has announced it, but is it in production and out there yet?

Here you go, man. In stock. Go for it! Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT 5296B002 B&H Photo Video

The new radio remote controller is available but in short supply here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...F8&me=&seller=

I know two people who have this system already and rave about it.

People who have already invested a lot of money on lenses usually stick to the same system, since the lenses is where the money is at. For example, a 600mm Canon lens at over $10,000 is a lot more expensive than the top of the line Canon camera body, and the same can be said for Nikon.
This is pretty much spot on

I'm not a pro by any means, but I don't think I'll ever use anything but Canon gear. I started with Canon, and so all of my lens investments are Canon as well; I don't want to start the lens buying process over again from scratch! Nikon has fantastic products as well, and they both go back and forth trumping each other with the next best thing.

Bottom line - you can get amazing images from any system you choose - go out and have fun shooting.

Competition is almost always good for cranking out innovations more quickly than if there's no one standing up to you. I personally enjoy the little "Canon vs Nikon war" that continues to rage on amongst some - it does push both companies to keep pushing themselves more than they would if the other guys weren't there.
