I soooo want the 5D Mark III. The ISO 25600 shot at night with such low noise it makes my 20D look like a toy!

Or pick up a used 5DMKII for a fraction of the cost of a MKIII, and it will still make your 20D look like a toy.

Agree with you. I will buy a 5D II to replace my 40D and use along a 7D I already have. But there is nothing wrong with the 40D. One could buy a new 5D II body for around $1,700 from Beach Camera and a couple of other reputable dealers. These deals are offered every now and then through eBay, but one has to do a lot of homework (wait for the deal and buy right away), ONLY from reputable dealers. Beach Camera is one of them, but the deals are extremely short-lived. This company had had around three of such deals in the last two months.

Now, in relation to taking pictures in the dark...and all the ISO noise stuff, the reality is that most of us seldom spend any time involved in that sort of thing (night photography). Nowadays one can remove most of the noise with numerous applications that are designed to do that with relatively no adverse effect on the photo.
