Over time most of us if not all of us have taken photographs that mean something more than just the image. We can see even a story line that was not anticipated. While going through old images today I came across this one and immediately an old song came to mind. Can you post a photograph of yours that has a song to go with it. This photo is nearly five years old and was an impromptu shot at the bequest of the young ladies. At the time it was just part of the days work. Didn't think anymore about it. Now is has more meaning for me than I ever could have imagined 5 years ago. Shooting conditions where horrendous. This image has been only sized and processed enough in PS to show what was actually in front of the camera. First the photo then the song.
This photo collage has remained one of my ever favorites. It took 2 hours to shoot my then young son in all the poses, and then another day to compose it into this "album". It was an assignment in another Photography forum and the subject was "Parody". From Wikipedia: A parody ( /ˈpærədi/; also called pastiche, spoof, send-up or lampoon), in current use, is an imitative work created to mock, comment on, or trivialise an original work, its subject, author, style, or some other target, by means of humorous, satiric or ironic imitation.
Had to make sure I wasn't in any copyright violation whatsoever and so had to look for clipart that was appropriate. Since it was almost the end of the school year, my son chose the title. Hornets was the school mascot.
satx56, during one of my cross country trips we were thinking of going to Winslow to take a picture. It would have been like a 6 hour detour but almost did it. LOL Still kind of wish I did, sahowing someone an album and they ask what it is... "It's a corner in Winslow Arizona."
Keep in mind this is from 8 day canoe trip on the river, song selection might make a little more sense.
