I'm looking for a good, solid travel tripod. Not too heavy, yet can handle the weight of a D7000 with a 400mm+ lens. Any suggestions? Or am I wanting too much?

I got this Tragus 66" trip from Target it is really well built for the price it is a little taller fully extended than it is listed. I use this tripod with a Canon SX230HS with no problems
I bought this Polaroid 72" Phot/Video ProPod Tripod back in January and have used it a lot since then, with no trouble what-so-ever.
Mine came with a carrying case, 2 quick release plates and a monopod. The only thing I would change out would be the pan & tilt head for a ball type head.
400mm lens would likely require a solid tripod with head to support all that weight. Would recommend something carbon fiber but what is your budget?

I do not want to say price is no object, however, if its worth it, I'll pay up to a thousand dollars. I do not like buying cheap equipment, which breaks a short time later.
I think Manfrotto 190cxpro3 would work, considering that you need to support a big/heavy lens without having to deal with a heavy tripod. It isn't overly expensive either, so you could also research and spend on a head to match.
