new fuji x100t released (Canon, DSLR, cameras, ISO)

i love the fuji x100s and own a pair of them . now the new x100t was released.

not a big change but according to ken rockwells site the following are the improvements

"The X100T is an even faster version of the old X100S.

The new X100T adds:

ISO up to ISO 51,200.

New electronic shutter goes up to 1/32,000 of a second, the world's fastest settable camera.

Program mode now exposes as long as 4 seconds, not just 1/4 second.

SEVEN customizable Fn buttons!

Now the aperture can be set in third-stops directly at the aperture ring; no longer do we have to mess with a lever and the aperture ring.

Wi-Fi built in.

The silly rear command lever is now a dial.

A larger 3" screen.

Built in intervalometer.

A "classic rangefinder" focus mode, had by pushing the finder lever to the left. Today we pull it to the right to swap modes, the new mode is to the left.

New programming allows using the optical finder even closer to the subject than before. In other words, you are forced to switch into EVF mode later.

Real-time parallax correction moves the optical finder frame as you focus - just as cameras did in the 1950s.

You can set the EVF to show the effects of the screwy film simulation modes, or just show the straight image.

Fuji says the EVF now updates at a high frame rate, even in the dark. The X100S slowed its EVF frame rate in the dark.

Exposure compensation now goes to ±3 stops instead of just ±2. No big deal; even ±2 is more than we need.

There's a new "Classic Chrome" film simulation mode.

The rangefinder focus mode is very interesting to me. I'd like to try that out. I always liked focusing with my Canonet.

i use the range finder mode 99% of the time. not only can you see people walking in to the frame as you snap a picture but for low light photography at slower speeds it is fabulous.

we were in montreal in some of the most fabulous churches and had to shoot high iso and still slow speed.

with the range finder we found it so easy to focus and lock visually on a subject , let the 2 second timer trigger the camera and get shake free shots.

i wish we could do that with the dslr but the view finder goes black once the timer starts and you have no target to lock on to.

the x100s did a great job . these are all 1600 iso ,handheld at 1/20 or less
