Hi y'all,

Last night I went to a concert and had a blast. Of course, I had my camera and took tons of pictures. Most of the pictures turned out great, but I noticed some pictures with a lot of movement turned out blurry. I brought my Nikon CoolPix L120. Is there anyway to prevent blurring with that?

I think with this one, the first probably was the focus point.

Thanks everyone. Overall, I'm really happy with most. I had such a great time and loved meeting the band.

Nope. Can't be done, at least in those shots. Low light and fast subject motion requires a much better camera than that. You need a fast (wide aperture) lens and a sensor with good low light (high ISO) performance.

The first image is a result of confused focus point (the fist in the foreground). The second is completely out of focus. The third is motion blur, where the shutter speed is too slow to freeze action (an outcome of ISO limitations and/or lens aperture, which prevented use of higher shutter speed).

Alright, thank you! Sadly, my really good camera wasn't allowed in the venue... but what I did manage with the other pictures, I'm really proud of. These pictures were taken with nighttime mode or automatic mode with the Nikon CoolPix L120.However, when Twiztid came on (pictured), a lot of people moshed to the front of the stage (it was standing room only) and since I'm so small, that makes me nervous. I went from front to between second and front, so some of the motion was from that as well. I had a really good time and I can't wait to scrapbook half of these pictures.
