Pcked up the nikon 2x teleconvertor today for use with my nikon 70-200mm f2.8.

there is a loss of two stops of light making the f2.8 a f5.6.

overall for a range of 140-400mm not bad. good detail and contrast.

That is interesting. I didn't think the teleconverters worked with the Nikon zooms. I have a kit 55-300mm that I would love to use a teleconverter on.

they only work on certain lenses. they really need a f2.8 lens as a starting point too . my f2.8 becomes a f5.6 with the sweet spot at f8.

i checked it will not mount on your lens.
