I usually do, in fact its just habit for hubby and I to grab the camera bag whenever we go anywhere, even if its just into town to get groceries.

I don't. It's too heavy. I had a compact camera that I said that I would use for that but I need a viewfinder and it doesn't have one so I don't bother.

I take my camera, a polarizing filter, tripod, lens hood, extra batteries, and a bunch of other stuff almost everywhere I go, even to work. You get more good shots that way and gain more skill and experience as well.

Like Lunar mine goes with me everywhere, along with tri-pod and polarizer. I carry a pelican case for the camera itself and accessories. It's bulky and can get heavy...but I've missed too many shots when I didn't have it and have learned my lesson!

Yes, because I feel like if I don't bring it one time, that will be the occasion where I happen across something interesting that I want to take photo of.
I don't use it every time I go out, but I like knowing it's there-in case inspiration strikes, or an event transpired while I was there.
It's only about the size of my wallet (Nikon CoolPix L28, whatever that all means), so I just carry it in my tote bag.

I try to take always DSLR with me but I can't put it in a pocket, only in a backpack. And to get the camera from a backpack difficultly if it is necessary to make a photo quickly. Cunningly that is compelled to put on the camera manual lens because of its compactness in comparison with autofocus. In general, now I dreaming about mirrorless camera with a compact lens that it was possible to carry camera always in a pocket, even in summer in shorts.
