I just bought a 64GB SanDisk Extreme PRO with speed of up to 95MB /S for my Nikon D5500, but before I actually use it, I tested the speed on my Mac, it gave me about 60MB /S Write, and about 89 MB /S Read.
I have a dozen16GB cards of all different brands... they're cheap enough ($10 or less when Amazon has a sale) to have multiples, plus they force me to NOT keep everything on one card or rely on one card too much. So I rotate through... I buy whatever's fastest... the old ones I use in my P&S (waterproof camera), Raspberry Pis, MP3 players, or simply to give digital stuff to family and friends without concern over losing anything.
I have 4 16 GB SanDisc Ultra cards that I use with my Nikon D90. I use them because I got them on sale for $8.00 each at a local camera stores going out of business sale. The only reason I only got 4 of them was that was all they had left.
I've been buying SD cards for various cameras and family members for over 10 years. I've never bought any over 16 GB. That's about all I remember right now...
I have a d610 and shoot raw but I also only use 16GB >120MB/s cards. Usually the lexar pro but I also have some Sony. Don't care about the brand too much though only the speed. The only 32g Cards I tried all corrupted after a few uses (2diff brands) so I decided to stick to smaller ones. Never had a problem or ran out of space even shooting in Yellowstone all day (just transferred to the comp every night).
