OK, the guy I know that originally sent me that face pic has a update... he somehow got confused thinking this photo was in a house was here in the San Fernando Valley in So Cal. Not true. This photo was taken in the house the girl previously lived in, which is in Boston, Mass.

But nothing else has changed... the story is the same, which is simply that this girl was just goofing around, and a friend took this photo of her.

While there is a porch light outside the door, it's almost never on, as this particular door is rarely used anyway, and it wasn't on that night. The girl nor her friends had no clue who's face this is, and don't recognise at all.

Odd occurrences have apparently happened in this house before, and after this photo was taken, according to the girl and family, including feeling a undeniable "presence" in certain parts of the house at times, but my friend couldn't elaborate much.

This photo has also been seen posted on other websites apparently.

While there's always a chance of stuff like this being a hoax, there is no proof either way to say it's authentic or not, so at least at this point it will just have to remain a mystery. Wish I had access to the negative.

So... no one else has any "ghostly" photos to post here?

Here's a couple pics my girlfreind took of the Whaley House staircase in San Diego. These were taken some time ago. She had problems uploading them to the PC, we finally figured it out, so I'm seeing her photos for the first time.

I'm not to sure what to make of these images. At first, it looks like she may have been bumped or something as she took the shot, making the streaming effect, but if you look at the bright anomalies, they 'stream' in different directions, which makes no sense. I also doubt she was bumped twice taking these photos, as two pics show this. I've seen similar photos posted on other ghost sights, showing bright 'energy' lightning type things in them.

I also posted another pic she took moments later, showing the staircase totally normal, as it should be, in perfect focus, unlike the other two. This house has been considered one of the most haunted houses in the USA for many, many years. Any input on this would be welcome!

OK, I JUST noticed this in this one photo. It ALMOST looks to me like there's a faint figure of someone at the bottom of the staircase looking up at my girlfrend when she took this shot! I also see what looks like part of the right arm. I brought it to her attention, and she see's it to, and she is a skeptic for the most part. Scroll up and down between the 2 photos, and you'll see it in one shot, and gone in the other.

I've noticed many times that if there is something weird in a photo, many times there can be 2 or more weird things in the same pic.

I've seen orbs twice with my naked eye. Both times they moved slowly across an area before disappearing. The two times I saw an orb was in the living room in my old home. One was about 2.5 inches and the other around 1 inch. Both were pretty opaque (though slightly see through), kinda fuzzy/blurry around the edges, and moved rather slowly. One was visible for maybe 30 seconds, the smaller one for about 5 or 10 seconds.

This is the only "paranormal" thing I have seen while looking straight at it (as opposed to out of the corner of my eye).

It is of course true that water droplets/dust etc can create the orb effect as well, but after seeing them in person I do not think that all orb pictures are water/dust etc. I do think it's quite possible that it is residual energy of some sort, but it could also be something sentient, who knows.

Here are a couple of rainbow orb shots I got a couple weeks ago while photographing my daughter outside our house. I did not see/notice these while I was taking the shots, wasn't till I went to edit them that I spotted them. I was basically in the same spot for all the shots, and they were taken within about 30 seconds of each other. There is a hollow tree there, and I thought perhaps there was some water inside it which may have caused the rainbow effect as it was a sunny day. The rainbow orb only showed up in some of the photos. It is interesting though how it's location does move a bit between shots. I only uploaded the shots that have at least some of the rainbow orb in them, so there were a couple shots between the first and second that are not here. On the last two photos you can see just a bit of the rainbow orb above her head.

I just looked up and watched that movie after you mentioned it. I enjoyed it, made seriously jump about 5 times, though didn't really "scare" me, more startled .

Ok, this is small, but the only version I have left...

Now, we're all familiar with the old "orb" photos that have been discussed so far, which most of the time are just dust specs that are bouncing off light from the camera flash. Ok, fine.

THIS one however, is weird...

A friend of mine came over and was rubbing the stomach of my lazy Shepherd/mix dog one night, while we were all watching TV. I took a shot of him and the dog, and this came out of it.

Here's the thing - "orbs" just show up as a solid or semi-transparent round glob when you take a flash shot in a dusty environment. The shutter speed is around 125th of a second, so any dust orbs won't show any movement at all, as the speed will freeze them as though they're floating motionless in the air. You can see a standard flash/dust orb just above and to the right of my dog's head in the same shot above.

In this shot, we have something that when viewed in the old full sized pic, looks like it was probably in-between the chair I was in taking the shot, and where my friend and dog were on the sofa (even though yes, it does look like it's flying up his nose, which it wasn't. LOL ).

It's much brighter than a normal orb, and there's obviously VERY fast movement going on - as though in that 125th of a second the flash was capturing, it started to move, stopped a couple of times along the way to create after-images of itself, then continued to zip off fast - all before the flash was finished. VERY odd.

My house actually does have a resident ghost. We know who it is, though. An older woman who lived here before and loved the house, though she did not die here. The dogs will "see" her from time to time and wag their tails, as their heads move to follow her as she walks to wherever. She was supposedly a very nice older woman, so no bad feelings have ever been felt, although you do smell cigarattes and cheap perfume (which she did both of) now and again. The dogs like her, so that's good enough for me. LOL. I don't think she orbs though.

OMG! It's the buger-eating orb!!

Just kidding. Very strange. What do you think caused it? (duh) Sorry, but I had to ask.
