whats your opinion on random red steaks in the sky?

I have a picture with a faint red streak in it. When I put it on the computer, I maximized the blue and red, so it was easy to see the red mark on the blue sky.

I cant figure out how to upload it, but does anyone have thoughts for this? I heard some people think theyre UFO's or something...?

Just speculating.
Could it be that an orb is reflection from a dust partical very close to the lens being lit up by the flash? And therefore would not show up in the second photo.
Of course if its just dust it would take the fun and mystery out of things.
I hardly ever us my flash and have never gotten an orb in my photos.
But then again it could be that apparitions refuse to show themselves to cheep cameras like mine.

Cheers,
Aeroman
Hey Aeroman, it really doesn't seem to matter how cheap the camera is, I've seen some neat stuff posted by people using cell phone cameras, which usually aren't as good as the cheapest digital cameras.

I also like creating photos with ghost like people in them. Just set a long exposure time, stand infront of the camera for a few seconds, and then walk away...and there u have your perfect ghost picture.

Ok this is a frame from a video clip... does anyone see a mans face here? (and I don't mean on the TV) Everyone else I show it to does. I see black hair, eyebrows, eyes, nose, mustache, lower lip. I know the image is dark.

Speaking only as one who is fascinated by the paranormal, and have caught many orbs on digital and film, it seems the slower point and shoot digitals have better results catching any kind of activity, as opposed to high end DSLRS....

Want rule out dust, etc.? Before you start shooting make for certain you lens is absolutely clean, and don't go stomping up a storm in the area you're interested in photographing.

Orbs, or balls of light, are believed to be spirit energy, that utilizes electrical energies in the area, or electro magnetic energies, to manifest themselves, for brief moments....very brief. One frame there, the next gone.

I have caught them both with flash units on, and flash units off. So it can work both ways.

Once you do your level best to rule out dirty lenses, and lots of dust or misty rain conditions, what remains is often what can't be explained away...

I lightened up Saugus18's pic and the "face" comes out a little more. Kinda scary looking too.
