Its still very easy to PrtSc open up photoshop and cut the image out. If your stuff is online, is vulnerable

I limit my posted photos to 800 pixels wide maximum. Its simple to do on many photo sites.

I used to post pictures here but I no longer post either due to different reasons. I posed a picture and description, said the place smelled bad and someone got offended by that and my description was deleted.

It was a description. It's like saying if I described the sky as being blue and someone got offended and the description got edited because everything offends everyone these days.

That only adds a couple more steps, but doesn't offer any real protection.

I take my photos to please myself, and I put them online in order to share my pleasure with others. If they are stolen, so be it. For me there would be little point in taking photos if I couldn't share them with others. I'd rather have my photos stolen than lose my joy in photography.

I can understand why someone who makes a living with their camera would feel otherwise, though, and support them in their efforts to control the use of their images. For me, though, that time and energy is better spent elsewhere. Playing Whack-a-Mole is only fun when you're seven.

I remember an artist I liked did that on his site: disabled right-click.

It doesn't even add that many more steps, I just wanted one snippet of one warrior's head to photoshop onto another picture.

Print Screen, open irfanview, paste, crop, fin.

You really need to get more knowledge on the internet. For every single thing that you do to protect your stuff, there's a program out there that will disable your protections. There's already add ons out there that will go right around that blocked "save" or blocked "save as".
