pinhole photography? (process, camera, pictures, suggestions)

I was wondering if anyone's played around with pinhole photography? I'm thinking about making tomorrow a leisurely day of driving around, exploring and snapping some pictures. I thought that could be something different to try.

Any suggestions/tips, etc? How hard is it to make a camera? Which is the best technique? I've seen several different methods online. Thanks!

Film pinhole or digital pinhole?

I haven't made a pinhole camera since high school. It's a fussy process but it's easy. There are many websites with tips on making the pinhole. When we did it we used Quaker Oats boxes and RC Cola cans. Some of us had really good results. Mine was just ok. It's all about getting that pinhole perfect.

For a while I've been meaning to purchase a pre-made pinhole cap for my camera. They have them at the local camera shop for < $40. Every time I go in I forget though because the trip is usually spawned from a more pressing need.

Hmm... now you've opened up another can of worms. I didn't know they had pre-made caps. I was originally thinking film, but it's possible with digital? Interesting.

WOW I never would have thought of that. I just found directions at the camerahacker site.
