I'll put my life on hold for the contest! Sorry guys, didn't mean to get my priorities out of line.

There's a couple of things I need to clear up with the 'powers that be' before I start a new contest, so hang in there for just a bit longer.

On themes.....hmmm....I have an idea but it's just now blooming, so I don't want to announce it yet.

I actually like the idea. When you have that many picture to look through, you need to narrow it down to may be best 10. I see nothing wrong with two round votes.

I think what ILNC is saying is that we should only be able to vote for one picture in both rounds, unlike the last contest where we could vote for all of them in the first round if we chose to.

I came back online at the very end of the last contest, and only voted to the most recent.

IMO though, (now that I know there was two parts of it) now that I'm thinking about it, having a staight winner from about 20+ entries is tough when selecting just one when they are all good. OTOH, I think having a second voting would take up a lot more time. Flexable me, I'm cool with any way it goes.

The only thing that's been bothering me about these contests is the fact that many entrants overlook the rule about using recent photos, and not something from your archives.

Could we please stick to this rule? In previous contests I've had pictures I would have loved to submit, but they weren't recent. It's a bit disconcerting to follow the rules and not post something, only to see a lot of people post old shots anyway.

If that's not possible, I'll go back to my corner and observe from the sidelines.
