Default Holiday El Train

CTA employees volunteer their time and energy to put this thing together every year. I have heard that they begin working on it in September. It runs on all of the L lines throughout the holiday season, usually beginning the weekend before Thanksgiving. the pictures don't really do it justice, especially when you see it at night coming down the tracks. i really respect them for doing this, and it proves that not all CTA employees are evil and out for our money.
Great photos and fond memories of last December when I took the Blue Line from Cumberland into the city on a Friday night to meet up with the guy I was dating who lived on the South side. I didn't plan it at all but just happened to catch the Santa train. It was standing room only inside the car, but what a fun ride it was. Everyone caught the holiday spirit and just had a blast. I was hoping to catch it again on my return trip, but no such luck. The gift in that was is that it was my last El ride ever before my move to South Carolina and the ONLY time I ever got to ride the Santa train.
