The one picture I really liked wasn't in the run-off.... so I went with my second fave.

But Alpha's right they were all great.

For some reason i thought that was your picture. The picture was nice but the presentaion could have been better the picture would have looked better with a different color background in my opinion. My picture was Hawaiian style BBQ - Anything i could improve on??? great pics for the runoff i just voted...

I can't see the pics anymore, but from what I can remember, Katie, I have to agree with 109 on the background. Your plate had a blue rim and your tablecloth was also blue, tending to make the shot a little busy and detracting from the subject that's on the plate.

109, I wish I can see the picture again, but the only thing I can say right now was that there was too much white space on the plate. See the #1 contender on the run off...much tighter composition, close-up and cropped so the focus is really on the subject and not on the background.

Both pictures had excellent resolution!

Thanks bibit612, i took my picture like 2 hours before the contest was gonna begin so i was kinda in a rush. hehehe. next time i will be more prepared.

The table cloth [actually place mat] & plate are matching set...ugh guess i should have used a contrast color... Well at least it wasnt fisheyed like the last pic!!
