Default Video Editing Software ??

I know this isn't photography, but I need some opinions. I just purchased a Sony HD Camcorder. I wanted to purchase a Video Editing program so that I can make DVD's with cool graphics and add music etc... I am not a professional and now almost nothing about vdeo editing.

Does anyone here have any experience with any software? I am looking at Sony Vegas Studion (HD Version) and Pinnacle HD Software. Both are reviewd on Amazon, but I never know who to believe

Thanks for your help!!!

Jake

I believe Pinnacle is good. I used it some years back and it could only be better now and is was easy and good 8 years ago. Adobe Premiere Elements may be similar. I really don't know. If I were buying now I would certainly look into it.
