That is a great point shipm, using imagination. No one needs to wait for school to start. My kid is 17, he doesn't carry back pack. I can take my camera to any store that carry school supplies. I can go and check out school buses, or school grounds. Plain pen and paper with eraser will do. There is no excuse to this theme at all.
I understand if you asked for a snow in the summer time....

Sorry I'm late on replying to this. I like the idea. I too saw the commercials, which seem to be showing earlier & earlier each year. If we don't have to email our pictures, I'm looking forward to the August contest.

How long do ya'll want to shoot your pics, 3 weeks enough?
I'd say let's get this party started, because the BTS events are in full swing right now most EVERYWHERE, so the pickin's are pretty good!

I'm jealous of everyone that doesn't start school until after labor day!
No conflict here either, Alpha!

Thanks, ShepsMom. This is the point I was trying to make earlier. You could do make a "back to school" photo any time of year. The idea is to see how creative you can be with the subject. There are loads of possibilities here, beyond photos of kids actually going to school.

I edited the last OP and may have missed something.

Also, things to note:

Emailing/DMing photos
No run off, the winner is the winner. I'll restrict fisrt round votes to only one per voter.

OK, let the complaints begin!

Seriously, let me know if I missed anything I need to edit.

Yay!

Just a couple of things -

1. In the line with the email address, "you" should be "your."

2. In the last line of the post, you tell us to shoot some food.
