Any one shooting with Olympus? After years of using a film SLR, totally manual, I made the jump to a digital SLR. I was planning on getting a Nikon, but my local camera store was going out of business, and had a great deal on an Olympus E-500 camera with 2 lenses (I know it is a little older model), but the price was really too good to pass up. The person at the store told me there were good reviews on the color quality of the lenses. Does anyone have any experiences, or opinions on this camera?
I have the E-510 with the same two lenses, I find the 14-42mm lens to be of quite good quality, the 40-150mm zoom is not as good imho but it is ok. I did break down and purchase a 50mm Macro lens though(I acually use it as my everyday lens), this one is of excellent quality imo but cost almost as much as I paid for the camera/2 lens kit. Enjoy your Oly, you will get many years of reliable service out of it!
Thank you for the input. I hope I get a great deal of use out of it also.
