Oh it's not the pictures, it was my description. Some people were offended how I described my last picture and reported it. To me, it's not just about the picture but also the story that goes behind it.
Photographers and photographs have always been censored. That should never stop you. Your work (and comments) is a living history that needs to be seen and heard.
I am almost 70 and I still remember this poem that I learned in grade school:
There was a man in our town and he was wonderous dumb
He read a book he didn't like and things began to hum
The made the printer ban the book
He made the writer flee
And now the people in our town are just as dumb as he!!
And, no, I am not calling anyone here dumb!
I have seen, or read, nothing in your wonderful posts that should offend anyone. Please keep posting!!

Arny Guy, I could not have said it better and agree completely. Sometimes truth hurts! Thank you for your service to our country and please keep posting you pictures and descriptions. Did anyone complain about the photo of the Dachu ovens? That was graphic even without descriptions.

Army Guy,
I realized exactly what got edited. We need your images and your descriptions.
You turned a fun- no brainer- thread into a lesson in photo-journalism. Some of you picture stories told about the common good in life and some told of a horrible event in a horrible place.
Please resume your postings! We want to, and need to, see the images and read the descriptions.

Count me as another frequent (though infrequent contributor) reader of this thread and in large part because of the images and stories you provide. Politics (including admittedly my own) or petty sensibilities aside, your posts have always seemed to provide an umatched level of journalism to this thread that will be sorely missed in the future. In any case, thank you for your and your brothers' and sisters' service.
