Default Street Art and Graffiti

I searched for a thread that was just street art/graffiti and couldn't find one, so I wanted to start it myself. I LOVE street art and the way graffiti looks. I think it's a shame to see a plain, white wall someplace when it's the perfect canvas for something beautiful.

Post any pictures you have of street art, wall murals, graffiti, etc.

I'll start...

Virginia Beach street art/graffiti:

Great post, MinuteMan! What city is that alley in?

Seeing your sidewalk art reminded me I had this one I took in Fort Wayne, IN at an arts festival in 2007:

I got this one the same day, however not as a part of the arts festival:

Thanks! That's in downtown Melbourne, Australia.

Here are parts of the longest mural I've ever seen. It wraps around a restroom at the famous Bells Beach, also in Australia.

Here are a bunch of pics i took a year or two ago of murals/tags/graffiti in the Mission District in San Francisco:

I also love the vibe that murals and graffiti bring to a city. It kind of lets you know that the city's alive.

Quite extensive! I got to drive through the Mission when I was in SF. Unfortunately I didn't stop (), but it does have some of the best street art I've ever seen. I'm going back in May, so maybe I'll take some time and actually visit the neighborhood instead of just driving through.

I'm with you on the way street art can contribute to the overall feel of a city. Kinda shakes things up a bit, and a street artist has some great potential to do really nice work and spread a message.
