This cemetary is an old family plot in Madison, NH.

While someone comes and rakes it out, it's set fairly off the road, in the local wood.

All died young, inthe late 1800's

Drive by this place quite a bit, well, I guess there are quite a few old abandoned places around me.
Anyway, decided to drive up the faint driveway.

A few years ago, I got a job taking wedding photos for one of my clients. Part of it entailed going up into a barn to access the cupola to take pictures from above the wedding meadow. I was flabbergasted when I climbed up into the loft, there were carved carousel animals about in different stages of completion. There were even books on how to carve wooden animals left on a shelf. I talked with the owner of the facilities and she told me that twenty years prior, her ex husband approached her with dismaying news that he had been having an affair for a number of years and was leaving her. He left immediately and never came back. He had taught himself how to carve carousel animals among other things, when he left, his wife just left everything as it had laid the day he left.

The barn

The books

The carved animals
