Some more recent snake pics...
Big and little, LOL (Jungle Carpet Python, Kipling)
Het albino Ball Python - Orlando
D'oh! (Reverse Okeetee Corn, Scout)
Spotted Python (Johnny) sleeping inside-out... his favorite position, for some reason.
And Nerissa the normal Ball Python, wrapped around a recent clutch of (5) eggs...

Beaded Lizard - all pooped out
Green Tree Python... I want one of these SO badly!
Ball Python labeled "Hotness"
Sonoran Rattlesnake, I think?

The only snake I have ever killed on purpose was an Eastern Diamondback rattle snake while teaching a class at Ranger school, at Ft Benning Ga. and unfortunately for him the class was on wilderness survival. After I killed him I cleaned and dressed him, then we cooked and ate him, sharing with the class the skills needed to survive in a worse case scenario, and its true they do taste somewhat like chicken.

I'll forgive you for that, especially since I love chicken...
For the record, I'm fine with killing (venomous) snakes if they're directly threatening you - and I have no problem with hunting for food. But somebody killing a harmless rat snake because it "creeps them out?" Not cool.

I think it's a speckled. I'm waiting for an answer from a friend who knows snakes better. The lucky part is it just laid there for almost 2 hrs until the sun rose over the hill before moving off.

I don't know much about hots (venomous snakes), so I can't help you on this one...

They're the laziest creatures ever, LOL. While it's always good to be cautious around a venomous snake, a lot of people don't realize they just wanna be left alone... as long as you don't taunt or step on them, they typically won't be interested in biting a human. Anyway, great shots! I've been meaning to go "field herping" for a while, since I've heard there are TONS of rattlers near where I work.
