Hello all,

Here is something a little different. I have been experimenting with landscapes at night which are normally taken during in the day. Sometimes moonlight is used as a lightsource. Feel free to post your nightscapes if you have taken any, just not cityscapes or street scenes please.

Central Cal Coast:

Yosemite Moonbows:

Thanks guys,

And Kdog very nice shots. I had a feeling some of the astro guys would have taken some of these as well. I'm really diggin' that starlight along the river shot!

Yup, you got it, Fuzz. I stayed in that resort for a few days. Red Rocks Inn, or something like that. Love, love, love, Moab and Arches.

Actually, I'd be surprised if you don't know that first one as well. Not as close to home, but still in the general area.

x1000! One of our most favorite places anywhere in the world. We try to go there about twice a year. In fact, a week-long hiking trip to Moab is what persuaded us to move from Chicago many years ago. Been exploring the canyons off Potash Road recently -- magnificent areas without the crowds of either Arches or Canyonlands.

May well be, except without more context, it could be one of several places...Colorado Natl Monument, anywhere around Moab, Grand Staircase-Escalante, etc, etc.

Wow, nice shots. I need to make note of that area for future exploration. Thanks for the tip.

That first shot of mine was Elephant Rock, Canyon Lands, Needles area. Actually, that third shot was from the same area. Canyon Lands is great. So many cool places, so little time.

Kdog,

Grest job on the light painting. It almost looks like day time if not for the stars. Did you have some moonlight as well which it looks like?
