You should pick up the Photoshop Creative Collection magazine at your neares B&N or Borders. Ive learned some really cool photoshop methods that way. Its 29.99 for the magazine but its worth it if you use Photoshop.
Or, just pickup any of the many photoshop books that are sold in stores.
I thank all of you for the suggestions and tips. I'm using Photoshop CS4 and some of the tips and tricks I have seen are for CS3 which has slight differences, making it hard to keep up.

TexasGirl,
As Houston noted, the full program is about $700.
Personally, I prefer using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom which is specifically designed for photographers. It is a bit less expensive at about $300.
Another option is called Photoshop Elements which is a significantly stripped down version of PS and costs about $80. You can also use Photoshop.com which is an online only product. You can get a breakdown of all the features for each product at this page.
WOW---had no idea it was that expensive...I don't need it that bad!
Well, the full version is intended to be used by professionals... most software aimed at professionals is expensive. But as mentioned, Photoshop Elements is very affordable and should get the job done. Alternatively, there is also free software called GIMP you might want to check out: GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program I've never used it myself but from what I've heard, it can do everything (or at least most of what?) the full version of PS can do.
This is done by two photos or double exposition on the film camera.
Easies way of doing this is:
1 Put the camera on a tripod and choose the scene.
2 Take one picture with a only a girl (in this very situation) and one with only a boy
3 In the Photoshop, copy the boy from the picture to the one where he is not
4 Add layer mask and delete everything leaving only the boy visible (on that layer)
5 Set layer overlay on 50% (for example)
6 Go to the filters menu, Filters>Render>Lighting effects and set the amount of vignetting you like (darken the corners)
7 Edit the colors as you like.
Thats it.
If you want to add some kind of a texture to the photo, there are two ways of doing that:
1 Go to the filter gallery and choose one, or
2 find the pattern, copy it on the photo (on another layer) and chose the overlay mode you prefer.
I like photography and I do it a lot. For editing I use Adobe Photoshop CS3/CS4 and Lightroom. Lightroom is easier to use, when you have to edit many photos, while Photoshop gives you advanced options.
