The fungus among us
Going throught the photos on my other cpu & decided to post these. I took these photos when we hiked the Big Goose Falls trail in August. It was such a peaceful forest hike. No amazing vistas, but just beautiful pine forest & a winding river. Anyways, it had rained recently and the forest was alive with fungus... I don't know what any of these are called so I made up my own names...
Anyone else please feel free to post your fungus photos...
"Ocean Coral" Fungus
"Glop" Fungus
"Size Seven" Fungus
"Full Moon" Fungus
"Reaching Fingers" Fungus
"Alien Tendril" Fungus
"Ailen Tendrils abducting a Mushroom" Fungus
"Burnt Marshmallow" Fungus
"Bubble Gum" Fungus
"Spikey Ball" Fungus
"This is your Brain on Fungus" Fungus

Thank you for posting this topic, those are wonderful pictures. There are so many beautiful specimens in the world of fungi and I think people tend to overlook them and miss out on some great photo opportunities. I have a few fungi photos, I'll have to dig around see if I can find them to post here.

Wow, Elnina, those are way too cool, looks like some kind of fungus spores growing on mushrooms, I've never seen anything like that before.
