LA Fitness coming to Southside Works?
I just heard LA Fitness is opening a location in the Southside this year. Not sure about the exact location, but the rumor is somewhere in/near the Southside Works. Anybody have more information on this?

I can't remember where I heard it but I heard it is supposed to go into the former JoBeth Books location. It's been a while since I was down there and had no idea that it had moved.

That would be a great addition to the city. I was just in the South Side Works Friday night and was also shocked to see that Joseph Beth had moved. I liked their previous location since it was two floors--but that will be ideal for an LA Fitness. Wonder if the LA Fitness on the South Side could include a pool...hrm, interesting.

With all these LA Fitness centers opening up in the area, I wonder if they will put one in Greensburg, that way people won't have to go all the way to Monroeville? There's a two-level vacant anchor at Westmoreland Mall and a vacant supermarket in the plaza behind the mall that would be an ideal site for an LA Fitness.

Does anyone know how much does LA Fitness charges a month and what their startup fee is around here? I've heard about a dozen different prices.

They have a couple of initiation and monthly fee options. The monthly fee is usually 19.99-29.99 and is always month to month.
