Whats with all the shootings lately? Is there some kind of gang warfare? Police investigate double shooting in Homewood

It's summer and more people are usually outside in summer so most cities see at least a slight increase in shootings because of it.

Most likely this is just the criminal underclass killing other members of the criminal underclass. It is a sad situation and isn't helping Homewood but unfortunately, it seems par for the course there.

I've also heard that because teens aren't in school that if they're attracted to gangs it's when the initiations take place. So more muggings, hold-ups, tagging, etc.

When you're bored, you have nothing to do, and you don't give a f**k about anything what else is there to do but cause crime?

Go to a movie, go to the park, pickup sports games, card games, board games, video games, be a "big brother" to a younger kid...

There are all sorts of great law-abiding things people can do... I just think it has to do with environment. When you don't have parents or school leaders or community leaders concerned about getting kids involved in "good" things it foments crime.
