Default Washington Place / Centre Ave

Anyone else hate this intersection? It is a big pain when turning left due to neither side having protected left signals and busy vehicle and pedestrian traffic at times.

I thought that with the Consol Energy Center opening, the city would upgrade those signals as they did with the Fifth Ave / Washington Place ones especially since one of the CEC gates is on Centre.

I noticed in the SPC TIP 2011-2014 Project list, several projects are listed for city signal upgrades: http://www.spcregion.org/pdf/TIP2011-2014/projects/Draft%20TIP%20Pittsburgh%20Project%20List%20.pdf (broken link)

Perhaps Washington Place /Centre Ave are included,
