Hey guys,
I was on google maps looking at some street views on Grandview Avenue and I noticed a construction zone for the Vici... I wanted to know if this ever went through and if its done or being constructed now... I know Vista Grande is up now but was wondering about Vici... thanks!

Well, construction has not started yet. The owner, Craig Cozza, has been sitting on this property for a few years and the groudbreaking is continuously delayed. Ground was initially to have been broken in 2007 and keeps getting pushed back. This is to be a seven story structure.
He also has another property tied up on the western end of Grandview that is to be called Bella Vista. It is to be a ten story condo and also was to have broken ground three or four years ago. The residents up there are getting tired of these holes in the ground and want him to either develop or sell both of these properties.

This article is from three years ago and still nothing has happened.

In related news, I thought some may interested in this from a few weeks ago. It sounds very encouraging.

I always feel compelled to post when my neighborhood is mentioned..

Unfortunately there is still nothing happening at the Vicci site, or Cozzas other site on grandview.

Cozza WAS recently cited by BBI on 8 violations - for $1000 each, and the judge urged BBI to continue filing and following up as he will continue to fine cozza until he cures the violations.

Small win... but the ultimate goal is to have a project. Our approach up here is two fold - keep pressure on the developer to, AT THE VERY LEAST, stabilize his lots so they are not massive eyesores and then also work with him, the community and local governement to try to get these projects completed (or I guess, started )

Another short term solve - the MWCDC (our neighborhood group) is trying to coordinate a project with Cozza and the art institute to erect solid screening around the Vicci lot and paint a mural

The lot was again cleaned up over the past week and now the sign has been blacked out. Anyone know what may or may not be going on?

Looks like this building is not ever happening. The land was traded with a property on bigham st. The former vici site will eventually be a community center of the st mary of the mount church.

anything there is better than an empty lot
