DOC-Economou, the previous developer, turned out to have no drawn plans and no financial backing. The job died and Richard Voelker (property owner) & company blamed the local residents.

LA Fitness is currently negotiating for the location and has large local resident support.

Thanks for the update. The area could use another fitness club. It also made no sense that residents would shoot down development of this area because there is so much potenial and why would they want to keep the unattractive lots and vacant buildings between two cool neighborhoods.

Does anyone know anything about Kenn Buick or Kenn Korners? I think they were where Don Allen's now is.

New Aldi going in near Century 3 Mall just below Home Depot/Giant Eagle. They are pretty far away from opening but they have started the gutting/remodel of the old SeaScape/Kids play center.
