See here, discussing recent comments on three projects (connecting the Mon Wharf to Point Park, connecting the Mon Wharf up to Smithfield, and closing the Sandcastle gap):

Parking report lacks conclusions

I can't tell you how much I want to see that cantilevered section of trail from the Mon Wharf to Point Park built--I think that is going to be incredibly cool.

How do you get down to the Mon Wharf trail area if you take the Eliza Furnace trail in from Oakland and then head down Ft. Pitt Blvd?

Oops--sorry about that! I was posting a couple things at once and got them crossed.

Right now to get down to the Mon Wharf you have to take the steps at either Wood or Stanwix, in the traffic islands towards the river. It makes the Mon Wharf less than ideal for biking.
