Default PGH: #1 place for get-rich-quick real estate schemes

OK, probably not how they would put it, but still:

Investor Real Estate Market Forecast

Although I find this amusing, the truth is that in a nation awash with bad real estate fundamentals, Pittsburgh does stand out as one of the few promising markets.

well -- you can't beat the interest rates.

But still. I'd love to dump more money into this house, considering we're going to be here another four - five years, but it got SO bad in my zip code that it scares me to death. In fact, my husband -- the tightest man on earth -- is telling me I'M too tight on this.

Our zip went down 78% in value. Our zip had the third largest foreclosure rate in the Bay Area. At one time almost a thousand homes were for sale in our zip code... 94% of them were foreclosures.

At last look a few weeks ago, we now have a far more reasonable 154 homes for sale in our zip, and 84% of them are forclosures... and home sales are happening fast again.
