Possibly Relocating
My husband may be accepting a new job in Greensburg, PA. Can anyone recommend a good location between Greensburg and Pittsburgh for housing? Most likely I would be working in Pittsburgh. We would like, of course, a nice, safe area to raise kids. We don't have any yet, but are working on it. I have heard some good things about Monroeville. Any help is appreciated.

Monroeville is ok... it's a business town... alot of shopping... if you are looking to put down roots to raise a family, I would look in Plum or Murrysville, both are next to Monroeville.

Hopefully, your husband can fanagle a house-hunting trip out of his employer, so you can go out and look around at their expense. If not, it would probably be worth it to do it at your expense. Seeing is believing!

Depends what part of Monroeville you are talking bout, some areas are getting kinda sketchy in Monroeville. You have to drive through at night and on the weekends, be sure to look around really well too.

Which neighborhoods/areas of Monroeville are sketchy? I've only been on the main roads of Monroeville so I don't really know. I'd assume it'd be the part that boarders Turtle Creek but even that isn't really too bad of neighborhood (at least from what I know).

Turtle Creek is still ok but I wouldn't personally want to live there, you have to drive through and see for yourself, you really have to do the leg work here, I rather not OFFEND Anyone!
