The sign in front of Club 804 said "Opening Soon Under New Management" until Fetterman altered it to say "Closed Not Opening Soon."

Club owner, Assim Chaudhry, showed Braddock borough council members a video of Fetterman changing the sign."Two people shot here three weeks ago, and we have an ongoing series of violent instances that seemingly occur every time the club is open," Fetterman told Channel 4 Action News reporter Sheldon Ingram. On Thursday, Fetterman acknowledged his actions and told Ingram that he thinks the club is "beyond a nuisance bar" and is "a cancer in the community." He wants the state Liquor Control Board to take the establishment's liquor license.

I'm not impressed by his methods. It's a little passive/agressive. I prefer leaders to lead, not engage in childish pranks. If it's a nuisance bar there should be legal means of shutting it down. If he wants to publicize his intent, I'm sure he could have gotten airtime by issuing a press release or offering up an interview to the local media. Just think it was a silly thing to do.

Yeah I think this place falls under the category of nuisance bar. I consider shootings to be on the upper end of the violence scale and more power to Fetterman for shutting it down.
The councilman they interviewed said b/c the shootings happened outside the building it should not reflect on what is going on inside the bar , therefore the bar shouldn't be held responsible. What planet is that guy on?
If anything , when your bar patrons go outside, enter into public common space ,start shooting thus placing the safety of the general public at risk should be even more reason to shut it down.

There's a huge nuisance in Braddock that's been sucking the life out of the town and its property values since its workers were able to buy cars and flee its presence. It returns very very little to Braddock itself, and Fetterman does nothing. He seems pretty useless.

The sign was someone else's property and he had no business altering it.

In what world does a business own/control people who simply patronize their business?

(Hint: Not the world we live in.)

I've always thought this guy was somewhat of a jackass. For the talk and "publicity" he's brought to Braddock there has certainly been very little return that I have heard about.

I can speak as a Braddock resident that I am proud of his actions. The legal channels can take months to follow up on nuisance bar cases. Is it worth losing one more life?

What he achieved was the exposure that even has you folks discussing our situation. Was it unconventional and even a little funny for a politician? Sure, but I think it clearly achieved its goal.

The last murder Braddock had was - Suspect held for trial in fatal Braddock shootout - guess what bar the suspect and victim were both in?

The most recent shooting was - 2 wounded in Braddock shooting - guess the bar ... ?

Shootings, drag-racing, under-age drinking, drunk drivers and litter are just some of the problems we are exposed to as residents, because of this bar. Can you honestly say you would want this club in your neighborhood?

Cheers!

While his actions may have been a bit unorthodox and perhaps aggressive, I admire his outside the box thinking. It may seem like he wants all the publicity he can get, but I think he's doing it for a good purpose and not to further hurt Braddock's reputation.
