Default Pine Twp/Richland/ Fox Chapel

We are relocating to PA Pittsburgh area from NJ. My husband will be working in Cheswick. We were told there are good homes and schools in Pine Twp/ Richland, Fox chapel area. Could someone tell me what town is Pine or Richland - it isn't coming up in Realtor . com. What else should we look at. Older daughter is in HS - youngest is 1.

What family oriented neighborhoods. Homes 1- 10 year old.

Thank you. We are house hunting next week!

The Pine-Richland School District goes from Rt. 19 on the west (near the town of Wexford) east to Rt. 8. Gibsonia is the name of the town where most of the school district resides.

Fox Chapel School District includes the towns of Fox Chapel, Aspinwall, Blawnox, Indiana Township, O'hara Township, and Sharpsburg.

Both are excellent school districts in my opinion and most others on this forum. For the most part, all of the communities mentioned above include very nice homes and are extremely family-oriented. To that extent, those areas are more expensive than most in this area too, but it is all relative... "Expensive" to NJ isn't "expensive" in Western PA. You'll probably be pretty happy with what you find throughout both of those school districts.

Hope that helps.

Captain

Default Zip Codes

Maybe you should try a zip code search on realtor.com

15238 for Fox Chapel

15044 for Pine / Richland / Gibsonia

Good luck!

Pine Richland is Gibsonia. Fox Chapel is a great neighborhood too, but the homes are much older than you are looking for. I

Pine/Richland is much farther away from Cheswick than Fox Chapel. Fox Chapel is a great school district. Look into Indiana Township and O'Hara Township---both are part of the Fox Chapel School District but much more affordable. Plus, Indiana and O'Hara are closer to Cheswick. You could have the best of both words---great schools and your husband's commute would be mere minutes.

Most of Pine and Richland (normally called "Pine Richland") are in Allison Park (15101) and Wexford (15090)

you mean Gibsonia (15044), not Allison Park.
